Dear David,
First of all, on behalf of all the employees including myself, I’d like to congratulate you on your increment in the yearly allowances. It is surely a joyful moment for you. At that occasion I’d also like to draw your attention towards a majorly growing issue in our organization. Coming straight to the point, I’d like to put in front of you some figures which I suppose you’d surely be aware of. For the past couple of years, our company is not actually meeting its goals the way it should be. See in 2010, our profit was about 1500$ million which at the end of 2011 got down to 1200 $, talking further about it, at the mid of 2012 our revenue was 10000$ and at the end of the year 2012 we as a company, only managed to earn about 9000$.
Now that is not just a normal thing to be considered. As a manager, you , yourself has mentioned in a last week’s meeting that the continuous loss has to be rectified. As you have asked for suggestions in that matter, here I am with one. I am observing a certain type of irritation and boringness in our staff for a couple of years now. The reason behind this is that the employees are unable to get relaxed and some time to hang out with their families and friends due to our company’s policy , according which an employee is allowed almost no vacations apart from the Sundays. There’s no doubt that our company is one the best payers when it comes to the salary. But the point is even a best mind needs some rest sometimes.
It is not just the bundle of currency notes you get at the end of each month, it is also a feeling of relief that in case of any emergency, or to relax, the company would grant you some days off, which unfortunately our company does not. So in my view, there has to be a change in the employee’s leave plan. As the saying goes, a restless work is often short
of quality. So, I am sure the employees would be more than happy and willfully put their best efforts in their working hours after they are being provided with some more leaves in a calendar year.
