Domain Name:
An organization or other entity on the internet is being located by the Domain name. For example, the domain name for theNationalUniversityof science and technology is www.nust.edu.pk
Domain Name commonly is the name of the website or URL and it is also called the host name. The host name is a more memorable name to keep in mind instead of the numeric and IP address of a website. This thing allows the user of website to find and go back to a web page more easily. The flexibility of website domains allows several IP addresses to be linked to the same website domain, thus giving a website several different pages while remaining at the easily remembered address.
Index Page
When domain name or URL is typed for given website i.e. NUST then the page for required URL is opened the first page of a website that contains links to other parts of the website is the Index page.
Local Navigation:
These are the links at this level. Each section has a navigation that takes to other parts of that section. Navigation on a web site is achieved by a collection of links that form the Web Site Navigation Menu or the Web Site Navigation Bar. This can be seen when you open a section.
The web site navigation bar can also be placed horizontally.
Sections
Every website has some major sections. Each section has further subsections. This structure makes the website easy to navigate and simple. A website where all things are not divided properly into sections and subsections, looks cluttered and jumbled up.

You are here Indicator
‘You are here indicator’ can be seen on the homepage of the web site above the heading welcome to NUST. This indicator helps us during navigation to different sections and tells us where we are right now taking homepage as reference. It is important to let the users know at all times where they are. A user may lose track while browsing through your website or using your application and unless they know where they are, they will abandon the task and leave your site
This indicator is necessary because it enables us to have a sense of direction and we will not feel lost in the website.
