The development in XYZ Technologies was done in VC++ but with time so many new technologies were introduced in market. So in order to remain in market pioneers, XYZ’s senior management decided to start their development in C# with .Net platform. With this enhancement development of new products will not be effected but the products already developed in VC++ were likely to be effected, so they planed to move some of their important VC++ products to C#. For this task they formed a team who was responsible for this task. The team decided to rewrite the code for these products from scratch in C#. But in the meeting with senior management, one team member raised a point that instead of rewriting the complete code we can rewrite some DLLs for these products. Some other members also supported his point which forced the senior management to think that either rewriting the complete code is more effective or rewriting some of the DLLs.
In your opinion, which approach should be adopted by the senior management? Give valid reasons to support your answer.
